3M™ Polyimide Tape 8997 is an ultra-thin amber polyimide film tape with a silicone adhesive designed for high temperature masking and precision applications.
With a total thickness of 2.2 mil (0.057 mm), it provides a thinner profile than 8998, making it ideal for tight tolerances and applications requiring minimal build-up.
Its silicone adhesive offers excellent heat resistance up to 500°F (260°C) short term, along with strong chemical and abrasion resistance, making it suitable for electronics, powder coating, and metal processing applications.
