3M™ 4317 is a single-coated, low-density open-cell urethane foam tape designed for thicker sealing, cushioning, and vibration dampening applications. It uses 3M™ Adhesive 430, a medium-soft acrylic adhesive that provides good quick stick and excellent aging and UV resistance.
With its extra-thick 375 mil construction, this tape compresses easily to fill larger gaps and help seal out air, dust, and light when compressed 50%. It is well suited for enclosure seals, cushioning, and sound dampening where deeper compression is needed.
