3M™ Polyimide Tape 8998 is an amber polyimide film tape with a silicone adhesive designed for high temperature masking and demanding industrial applications.
With a total thickness of 3.3 mil (0.085 mm), it provides a thin, conformable backing that delivers sharp paint lines while maintaining flexibility.
Its silicone adhesive offers excellent heat resistance up to 500°F (260°C), along with strong chemical and abrasion resistance, making it ideal for powder coating, electronics, and metal processing applications.
